CULTURE:
Sloth Doesn’t Just Mean Sleep

“You see the heart of the sluggard is that he is trying to find rest the wrong way.” Sloth is something that I think many Christians may be fighting even though it may appear as other sins. I think it’s one of those sins that are harder to fight because it feels so good. But in this article, Mike Leake presents his case to remind us that sloth is a sin that we should actively fight against, and correctly define.

THEOLOGY:
You Can’t Turn From Temptation on Your Own

Too often, we tend to lean on our own strength, and try to handle it on our own. Even after knowing that we are incapable of fighting sin on our own, we continue to do it because we’re sinners.
This article reminds us and is helpful in terms of fighting temptations, and helping us to turn to the cross knowing that we absolutely need it, and without it, we’re helpless.

APOLOGETICS:
Raising the Bar as Christian Believers

“In this episode of the Cold-Case Christianity Broadcast, J. Warner continues his comprehensive description of the difference between teaching and training by articulating the need for parents and youth leaders to expect more from their children and students.”

RESOURCES:
When People Are Big and God is Small

Ever struggled with the fear of man? Ever worried about what people thought about you more than what God thinks about you? I know I am definitely guilty of it. Here’s an awesome book that convicts you and helps you realign your priorities.

For those of you that have ever wondered this question, this article provides 5 steps to help you get over your ex-boyfriend/ex-girlfriend in a biblical manner, and one that turns you to Christ rather than to the comfort given by the world.

Jinhoo Bong

Currently, an uprising senior at the University of Richmond in Virginia. Majoring in Computer Science because I am a nerd (according to Kevin), but also because it was the only field of study that I found interesting since I believe it gives you a tool to create, limited only by your imagination. Grew up in the church, but really decided to claim my faith as my own during college, and nothing has been the same. Only by the undeserving gift of God's grace am I able to say that I am saved, and I am eternally thankful to Him. I can only hope to glorify God in all that I do.
