I Wanna Be Thankful!!

By on Nov 24, 2017

Thanksgiving: a national holiday to get together with cousins you haven’t seen since last Thanksgiving and eat 50,000 calories you burnt for a week (AM I RITE? LOL) On a more serious note, Thanksgiving can be a BIT tricky for me. As I share a warm meal with my friends and family to talk about the blessings of this year, I catch myself thanking God for the same, generic thing every year; “I’m thankful for all my friends and family who loves and support me in everything I do!” I totally say this with the utmost sincerity, however, I basically grumble for the whole year, possibly even...

Bling-Bling Cha-Ching

A little background story about me: I was born in the United States, but I moved to Korea when I was about 3 years old because my parents wanted to raise my brother and me in Korea. I was raised in Korea for about 10 years or so and moved back to the U.S.! As soon as I moved to the states, my family and I found a church near where we lived, which is the church I still attend. I would say that my church is a large-size, Korean-American church. I was happy to be reunited with my “people” in the midst of my transition. I joined the youth ministry, and now I’m a member of our English Ministry....

Modern Dating Pt 2

By on Apr 5, 2017

So here’s my second article to rant about modern dating. I was out with my friends, friend M, K, and J, to study and catch up at a restaurant. My friend J came back home from Minnesota for a weekend so we HAD to hangout. (Also, we didn’t end up studying a lot… HAHAHAH) So we’re talking and catching up with some awesome happy hour food, and we noticed that a guy from the table next to us was obviously eavesdropping and glancing over at our table. He literally had his body turned away from his table so that he can look at us (a little creepy). He was continuing this for like 2 hours. Then my...

To Serve or Not to Serve

By on Mar 28, 2017

That is the question. It is inevitable that a church’s children’s ministries would not function as effectively and efficiently if it wasn’t for the teachers and TA’s. Typically, teachers and TA’s can easily range from middle school students and up. I started to officially serve in our children’s ministry about 2 years ago. Before that commitment, I helped out with different ministry retreats and VBS (Vacation Bible School) but I didn’t feel completely ready to commit to teach. I definitely had the desire to serve and teach younger students but I just didn’t feel ready to be used. These 2...
