Do I Really Have to Read My Bible Everyday?

By on Dec 14, 2017

Do you have to breathe every day?   Haha, snarky comments aside, it is extremely important for us Christians to be meditating on Scripture as much as we possibly can. And yes, if you profess to believe in Jesus Christ, that includes you.   I’ve been in church a long time. Not just as a Sunday attendee, but as someone who loved going to church even when there was no service. Yet, even I hardly ever opened my Bible outside of church services. I thought that being in the church building was enough to cover that lacking part of my Christian life. In reality, I didn’t really...

All of Creation – The Greater and Lesser Lights

By on Dec 12, 2017

14And God said, “Let there be lights in the expanse of the heavens to separate the day from the night. And let them be for signs and for seasons, and for days and years, 15and let them be lights in the expanse of the heavens to give light upon the earth.” And it was so. 16And God made the two great lights–the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night–and the stars. 17And God set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18to rule over the day and over the nights, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw...

All of Creation – The Heavens and The Earth

By on Dec 2, 2017

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth” -Genesis 1:1 So for our first little segment on Creation, I’d like to take a look at the beginning of it all: The Heavens and the Earth. More specifically, space: The Final Frontier. The story begins: A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away. Just kidding. Well it was a long time ago, but perhaps not in a galaxy far far away. All of Creation – Intro

In Junior High, during Wednesday Night Service at church, I remember my pastor showing us a series called “Planet Earth” (great series, I highly recommend). While watching that, I remember feeling absolutely floored at how complex and beautiful this world is.   If you’ve never watched the show, it’s basically a series that captures natural phenomena in the world that has been untouched by humans. It’s also all narrated by Sir David Attenborough, so the British accent makes it all the more interesting (Unless you live in Britain. Then it’ll just be plainly interesting).  ...

Homosexuality and the Church

By on Nov 9, 2017

Last year, I was tabling for our on campus Christian fellowship, holding a box of cookies in my left hand and a handful of fliers in my right. Normally, people don’t come up to us and ask questions regarding what we believe. But for some reason, during my shift, a guy came to grab a cookie and said, “I’m gay. Can I be a Christian?” Woah. Wha? I’m just standing out here on Sproul Plaza giving out free cookies trying to get people to come to our fellowship… And you have to come and hit me with that? Needless to say, I really wasn’t ready for a question like that, but I answered it to...
